President Donald Trump has declared a food supply emergency, temporarily suspending import duties on certain phosphate fertilizers from Morocco for up to eight months. The emergency declaration, officially noted as a threat to the availability of sufficient fertilizer supplies to meet U.S. agricultural demand, seeks to mitigate significant risks to the domestic food supply.
