Buzz Lightyear Porsche 911 GT3 RS at the "Toy Story 5" premiere
Porsche has brought beloved “Toy Story” characters to life by transforming three of its iconic 911 models into one-of-a-kind dream cars. These unique vehicles, inspired by Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie, were revealed at the Los Angeles world premiere of Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5.” The custom creations were developed by Porsche’s Sonderwunsch (special wishes) department, the automaker’s bespoke personalization program.
In a heartwarming charitable initiative, these three custom cars will be sold to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the American Red Cross, and the Starlight Children’s Foundation. A Porsche spokesperson emphasized that the cars were designed to not only bring joy but also to support families and children in need, reflecting the positive spirit of the “Toy Story” films.
Timo Resch, president and CEO of Porsche Cars North America, expressed excitement about seeing the characters represented on the road and highlighted the rewarding nature of this initiative, especially given the “Toy Story” films’ nostalgic connection for many.
The Buzz Lightyear-inspired model is a 911 GT3 RS featuring a color scheme of white, green, and purple, mirroring the Space Ranger’s suit, and a prominent rear wing reminiscent of his own. The interior boasts green accents, specific leather and Race-Tex materials, and door sill guards that read “To Infinity and Beyond.” The car also features custom “Lightyear” tires developed in collaboration with Goodyear.
Jessie’s custom car is a 2026 911 Targa 4 GTS. It features a new custom paint color, Jessie White Metallic, accented with Cobalt Blue Metallic, Atacama Yellow, and GTS Red. The red Targa top evokes Jessie’s cowgirl hat, while the cabin incorporates denim-inspired fabric and illuminated door sills proclaiming “YEE HAW!”
Woody’s vehicle, based on a 2026 911 Carrera T, utilizes a special paint process to mimic the texture and appearance of worn blue jeans. The interior is finished in brown vintage leather, with door sill guards that bear the message “Ride Like the Wind!”
Bob Pauley, production designer at Pixar Animation Studios and the original designer of Buzz Lightyear, shared his enthusiasm for collaborating with Porsche again, following their previous work on the “Sally Special” from “Cars.” He noted the meaningfulness of creating these new “Toy Story 5” cars to bring joy and support a good cause.
