PM Modi Inaugurates India’s First Functional Integrated MITRA Park in Warangal
Warangal, India – Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially inaugurated India’s first functional integrated textile park, known as MITRA Park, located in Warangal. This significant development is poised to provide a major boost to the country’s textile manufacturing and export capabilities.
The state-of-the-art facility is designed to offer a comprehensive ecosystem for the textile industry. It includes essential infrastructure such as well-developed roads, a reliable power supply, and adequate water resources. Furthermore, the park will provide dedicated worker housing to support the workforce and a Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) equipped with advanced Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) technology, underscoring a commitment to environmental sustainability.
In line with its focus on renewable energy, the park also features a planned 10 MW solar power plant, aiming to reduce its carbon footprint and operational costs.
The establishment of this integrated textile park is a key initiative under the government’s broader strategy to enhance manufacturing competitiveness and promote ‘Make in India’ in the textile sector. By consolidating various aspects of textile production and support services within a single location, MITRA Park aims to streamline operations, reduce logistical challenges, and attract further investment in the region and the country’s textile industry as a whole.
