JSW Energy Limited has significantly expanded its renewable energy portfolio, commissioning 1,081 MW of new green power capacity since April 2026. This expansion brings the company’s total installed capacity to 14,535 MW. The newly commissioned capacity includes 442 MW from solar projects, 381 MW from hybrid projects, 150 MW from hydro power, and 108 MW from wind energy.
In addition to power generation, JSW Energy has established a wind blade manufacturing facility in Gujarat, capable of producing 450 blades annually. This move is intended to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Renewable energy now represents nearly 61% of JSW Energy’s operational portfolio, totaling 8,877 MW. The company has successfully achieved over one-third of its objective to add 3 GW of renewable energy by FY2027. With these developments, JSW Energy’s total locked-in generation capacity has reached 32.1 GW, encompassing operational, under-construction, and development pipeline projects, alongside 29.6 GWh of energy storage capacity.
Looking ahead, JSW Energy has set ambitious long-term targets: 30 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage by 2030. The company also aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, underscoring its strategic commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
