Gradus AD, a prominent Bulgarian poultry producer, has significantly expanded its operational footprint with the acquisition of a large poultry complex in Cherni Vrah. The deal, executed through its subsidiary Millennium 2000 EOOD, marks the company’s most substantial capacity increase in eight years.
The newly acquired facility in the Burgas region is extensive, encompassing 24 land plots, 143 buildings, and over 60 production halls. It boasts a technical capacity to raise more than 1.4 million broilers per production cycle, with the potential to exceed 8 million broilers annually. This acquisition is poised to increase Gradus AD’s broiler meat segment production capacity by over 50%.
This strategic move aligns with Gradus AD’s long-term vision to bolster its production capabilities and enhance its market presence within the broiler meat sector. The company views this expansion as a natural progression of its ongoing investment program, which includes the construction of a sixth broiler rearing center in Stara Zagora. These initiatives are designed to optimize operational efficiency and leverage the company’s integrated production structure.
