Costco patio swings in various states of disassembly inside a large warehouse
World Bright International Limited is initiating a recall for approximately 18,500 Agio Menlo Woven Patio Swings sold at Costco. The recall stems from reports that the swing seats have detached from the frame during use, leading to a significant fall hazard and resulting in at least eight reported injuries.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall on May 14, detailing eight incidents where the swing seat separated from the frame. These detachments caused impact injuries, including to the head and arms, of those using the swings.
The affected patio swings are identifiable by model number 1934256 and feature a black metal frame, brown woven wicker seating, and a fabric canopy. They were available for purchase at Costco stores nationwide and online at Costco.com between February and March 2026, with prices ranging from $549 to $649.
Consumers who own the recalled patio swings are strongly advised to cease using them immediately. World Bright International Limited will provide a free repair service, which includes replacement hooks and instructions for installation, to address the defect.
This recall is one of several recent safety alerts involving products sold at Costco. Earlier, over 113,000 electric kettles were recalled due to handles detaching and spilling hot water, with one reported burn injury.
