As the United States gears up to celebrate its 250th birthday, American brands are embracing a wave of patriotism with special offers and themed products. From restaurants offering significant discounts to food giants releasing limited-edition packaging, companies are tapping into national pride to engage consumers.
Steak ’n Shake is leading the charge with its “Liberty Meals,” available for $17.76 throughout July. Each meal includes a double grass-fed Steakburger, fries, and a “Patriot milkshake.” Notably, the chain also announced that its Patriot Milkshake now features a dark chocolate Statue of Liberty and will be priced at $2.50 for the remainder of the year.
Dunkin’ is marking the occasion with a limited-edition “Eagle Cup” for $10.99, which comes with a free medium beverage and a promotional code for discounts on select drinks. The collectible cup, featuring a sculpted eagle lid, is available in limited quantities.
Coca-Cola’s America250 campaign includes special packaging, custom bottles, and collectible mini-cans, each representing one of the 50 states, Puerto Rico, or Washington, D.C., with designs reflecting local symbols.
General Mills is launching 79 limited-edition products across brands like Cheerios, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Fruit Roll-Ups, and Blue Buffalo. These include Birthday Cake Cheerios, Pillsbury Toaster Strudel Stars & Stripes, and various other red, white, and blue-themed items designed to bring joy to families.
Other brands are also joining the patriotic festivities. Oreo is offering a Firecracker Pop cookie, Dairy Queen has a Stars & Stripes Misty Slush Float for $2.50, and McDonald’s is bringing back its fried apple pie for a limited time. Burger King is introducing a Firecracker Cookie Pie, and Krispy Kreme is presenting a patriotic doughnut collection.
Beyond food and beverage, financial institutions and automakers are also participating. Bank of America is expanding its “Museums on Us” program, offering eligible cardholders free admission to 250 museums nationwide over the July 4th weekend. Ford Motor Company launched its “American Value. For American Values” campaign, providing employee pricing on select new vehicles to all U.S. customers.
Cracker Barrel, an official America250 partner, is running a “Fuel Your Summer Road Trip” sweepstakes, offering 250 rewards members $1,000 each in food and fuel prizes. Mountain Dew has also temporarily rebranded as “American Dew” for the summer, featuring American flag-themed labels and packaging.
