Miles McBride gifting custom 1800 Tequila bottles to teammates after Knicks championship.
In a unique celebration of the New York Knicks’ first NBA championship in 53 years, player Miles “Deuce” McBride partnered with 1800 Tequila to present his teammates with custom-designed bottles of 1800 Milenio Tequila. This luxury expression from the brand is intended to commemorate legendary milestones, fitting for the Knicks’ historic season.
The custom bottles were designed by local illustrator Fefi, a longtime Knicks fan. Each bottle features New York City iconography, local sayings, and visual elements representing the grit, pride, and energy of the team’s playoff run. A total of 30 bottles were created and gifted to the roster and select staff members, serving as personal keepsakes of this significant moment in New York sports history.
The partnership between the Knicks and 1800 Tequila was prominent throughout the playoff season. Beyond the championship bottles, the brand also launched “Row 18(00),” a campaign that provided New York-based content creators with a unique viewing experience for fans who couldn’t attend games at Madison Square Garden due to high ticket prices. Notably, tickets for Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden, the first since 1999, had an average selling price of around $7,683, with the cheapest tickets starting at $3,940.
The Knicks’ journey to the championship was marked by resilience, with players like Jalen Brunson, the NBA Finals MVP, and Karl-Anthony Towns, among others, seen receiving their personalized bottles. The team’s grit was epitomized in Game 4 at Madison Square Garden, where OG Anunoby’s game-winning tip-in with 1.6 seconds remaining secured a crucial one-point lead, a moment now etched in franchise and city history.
McBride’s gesture underscores the team’s appreciation for their accomplishment and the unwavering support from their fanbase, solidifying this championship as a memorable event for both the players and the city of New York.
