Ceigall Green Energy MP Limited, a subsidiary of Ceigall India Limited, is set to energize Madhya Pradesh with a 130 MW solar project. The company has inked 15 Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited under the Surya Mitra Krishi Feeder Yojana, signaling a significant step towards bolstering India’s clean energy transition.
The Surya Mitra Krishi Feeder Yojana aims to provide reliable daytime power to the agricultural sector. Ceigall Green Energy will oversee the development, operation, and maintenance of the solar photovoltaic power projects, supplying electricity for 25 years at a fixed tariff of ₹2.85 per unit. This initiative not only supports the agricultural community but also aligns with India’s broader goals for sustainable energy.
With an estimated Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) investment of ₹572 crore, the project is poised to make a substantial economic impact. The execution phase is expected to be completed within 12 months, paving the way for long-term operations. Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ceigall India Limited, highlighted the project’s importance in strengthening the company’s position in the renewable energy sector and its commitment to sustainable infrastructure.
