The Bharat Tex 2026 event has wrapped up its initial three days with remarkable success, firmly establishing Bharat Mandapam as a pivotal global hub for the textile and apparel industry. This significant gathering saw an influx of 1,647 exhibitors and nearly 95,000 business visitors, alongside 11,315 buyers from 138 countries, underscoring its international appeal and impact.
The event was not just a showcase but a powerful catalyst for economic activity, generating an estimated INR 14,300 crore in investment commitments and a substantial $2.8 billion in business inquiries. This financial momentum highlights the textile sector’s robust potential and India’s growing attractiveness as a manufacturing and sourcing destination.
Beyond the impressive numbers, Bharat Tex 2026 fostered strategic collaborations and knowledge exchange. It featured extensive participation from various Indian states and international delegations, alongside 100 knowledge sessions dedicated to global trade, sustainability, and innovation. Key initiatives like the Sanrachna Hackathon and exposure visits for entrepreneurs further demonstrated a commitment to nurturing future talent and fostering industry growth.
A notable milestone was the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) between the Bharat Tex Trade Federation and Première Vision Paris, signaling a strategic alliance set to enhance India’s global textile footprint. Discussions also centered on promoting India’s rich heritage textiles, aiming to integrate traditional craftsmanship with modern market demands. The event unequivocally reinforced India’s vision as a preferred global destination for textile manufacturing, sourcing, and innovation, setting a strong precedent for future industry endeavors.
