Race Equality Engagement Group presenting "One Year of Action" report
The Race Equality Engagement Group (REEG) has released its inaugural “One Year of Action” report, marking significant strides in tackling racial disparities across critical sectors: healthcare and business funding. This comprehensive report details REEG’s focused efforts to diminish racial inequalities in maternal and neonatal health outcomes, achieved through expert roundtables and influential contributions to clinical guidance.
Beyond healthcare, REEG has also been instrumental in addressing financial inequalities faced by minority business leaders, with a particular emphasis on empowering female entrepreneurs. This work involves strategic collaborations with key financial institutions, including the British Business Bank, to foster more equitable access to funding.
The significance of REEG’s work is further underscored by Equalities Minister Seema Malhotra’s confirmation that the group’s mandate will be extended.
