Sollos Yerba Mate Pineapple + Coconut cans and 12-pack box on an outdoor table.
SOLLOS Yerba Mate, a beverage brand linked to Barron Trump, has launched its first product — a Pineapple + Coconut Florida-inspired yerba mate drink.
The Palm Beach-based company, founded by individuals aged 19-23 who grew up in South Florida, is promoting SOLLOS as a beverage that embodies the state’s outdoor lifestyle. The Pineapple + Coconut 12-pack is currently priced at $39.
This venture marks a new business endeavor for Barron Trump, the youngest son of President Donald Trump and a student at New York University. Spencer Bernstein, a co-founder of SOLLOS, expressed satisfaction with the launch, noting that over a year was spent perfecting the formula through more than 100 iterations.
Bernstein reported strong initial reception, even from those who were initially skeptical. “We’ve received very positive feedback about the taste of SOLLOS, even from people we expected to dislike it because of preconceived notions. We’ve proven that it’s a beverage everyone can enjoy,” he stated.
Yerba mate, a caffeinated herbal tea popular in South America, is increasingly being adopted in the U.S. as an alternative to coffee. Bernstein highlighted its benefits, saying, “We believe yerba mate is the best source of caffeine because it is plant-based and provides a smooth, sustainable energy boost without the sharp spikes and crashes often associated with coffee and synthetic energy drinks. It’s also naturally rich in antioxidants.”
SOLLOS has also achieved USDA Organic certification. “Most beverages on the shelf use stevia or artificial sweeteners like sucralose,” Bernstein explained. “From the start, we’ve focused on using the highest-quality organic ingredients to make SOLLOS the great-tasting, functional beverage that it is.”
Filings from January reveal that Barron Trump is one of five directors for SOLLOS Yerba Mate Inc., which is headquartered near the Trump family’s Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach. The company plans to offer its products online and at select retail locations throughout South Florida, alongside branded merchandise.
Previously, Barron Trump and two partners incorporated a Wyoming-based real estate firm, Trump, Fulcher & Roxburgh Capital Inc., in July 2024. This company was dissolved on November 14, 2024, shortly after the presidential election.
