Command Investigations has significantly expanded its market presence by acquiring the insurance division of CoventBridge. This strategic move unites two major players in the insurance investigations sector, creating the largest firm of its kind in the United States. The acquisition, backed by private equity, aims to address the escalating issue of insurance fraud, which costs the industry an estimated $300 billion annually.
The combined entity will leverage Command’s extensive network of over 900 investigators across all 50 states, enhanced by CoventBridge’s advanced case management infrastructure and international reach. Seth Markham, who currently leads Command Investigations, will head the integrated insurance division. CoventBridge’s remaining government and healthcare divisions will continue under the leadership of Doug Merriman.
This consolidation is driven by the increasing demand for outsourced Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and investigative services. The insurance industry faces persistent fraud losses, making national-scale platforms with standardized technology and consistent jurisdictional coverage highly valuable. Command Investigations, previously recapitalized by Monument MicroCap Partners and now owned by Incline Equity Partners, has a history of strategic acquisitions. CoventBridge, supported by Harwood Capital, will continue its operations in its other divisions.
Clients of both companies are expected to benefit from uninterrupted service during the transition, along with access to a wider array of investigative resources and expertise. Brown Gibbons Lang & Company acted as the exclusive financial advisor to CoventBridge for this transaction.
