The Golden State Warriors are set to make sports history with a new jersey sponsorship agreement with IREN, an Australian-founded AI cloud provider. The deal, reportedly worth upwards of $50 million annually starting with the 2026-27 season, is being hailed as the largest of its kind in North American sports.
This significant partnership extends beyond just the Warriors’ primary jerseys, encompassing the Golden State Group’s broader portfolio. The agreement includes IREN branding on the warm-up gear for the WNBA’s Golden State Valkyries and the Santa Cruz Warriors’ jerseys, prominent visibility within San Francisco’s Chase Center, and presenting sponsorship for the Warriors’ annual City Edition platform. IREN will also be designated as the Official AI Cloud Partner of Golden State.
Mike Kitts, Chief Commercial Officer for the Golden State Group, emphasized the importance of finding a partner that aligns with the organization’s values. “IREN is committed to powering the future of technology, education and local impact, and aligns perfectly with our goals as we look to push the boundaries of innovation on a global scale and create a lasting legacy across the Bay Area and beyond,” Kitts stated.
Daniel Roberts, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of IREN, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the synergy between the two organizations. “At IREN, we think about our business through a similar lens. We own and operate the full infrastructure stack: power, data centers and compute. That vertical integration allows us to serve the world’s most demanding AI workloads and invest in the communities that support us,” Roberts explained.
IREN specializes in providing GPU clusters for AI training and inference, serving clients globally from its Bay Area base. The company has secured substantial power resources, exceeding five gigawatts worldwide, to support these intensive AI workloads, positioning itself as a key player in the infrastructure enabling next-generation technological advancements.
