After years of anticipation and numerous delays, the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in Cairo is set to officially open its doors. In the fiscal year 2023-2024, tourism revenue reached $14.4 billion, reflecting a 34.6% increase from the previous year. The United Media Services (UMS), the Egyptian group overseeing the opening, has partnered with TikTok to promote Egypt’s cultural vision globally.
