YAS Marina Circuit Gears Up for 2025-2026 Motorsport Season
Get ready, motorsport enthusiasts! YAS Marina Circuit is set to ignite the 2025-2026 season with a thrilling lineup of events, starting with the YAS Racing Series this weekend. The circuit promises an adrenaline-fueled experience both on and off the track, welcoming spectators with free entry. A Weekend of Racing and Entertainment
Motorsport fans can anticipate an action-packed schedule. Official practice sessions will take place on Friday, allowing teams to fine-tune their vehicles in preparation for the season’s opening races. These sessions can be viewed from the Yas KartZone viewing area. The opening round of the YAS Racing Series is scheduled from October 31st to November 2nd, featuring the Gulf Procar Championship, a highlight for GT and Touring car racing in the region, alongside the Gulf Radical Cup, known for its high-speed, thrilling races. Thursday will be dedicated to testing sessions, followed by official practice on Friday, giving teams valuable track time before the main races.
Saturday and Sunday will see the main races, where drivers will compete for the first points of the season in both championships. Simultaneously, the Emirates Motorsport Organization (EMSO) will conduct live training for judges, alongside a demonstration race simulating Formula 1, in preparation for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. With free entry throughout the three-day event, spectators can return or attend the opening races on Saturday and Sunday to witness the teams and drivers in action as they compete in the Gulf Procar Championship and the Gulf Radical Cup.
More Than Just Racing
Beyond the excitement of the races, the public can enjoy a variety of free entertainment activities in the areas surrounding the track on Saturday and Sunday. These include the Pit Stop Challenge, which tests participants’ tire-changing skills in a team competition, and fun activities such as the Tamiya Mini 4WD car race within the interactive Otaku M.E experience. Both adults and children can view the race cars and take commemorative photos during a tour of the pit area. Additionally, the Yas Challenges in Schools, sponsored by ADNOC, will offer racing experiences for enthusiasts of all ages on a dedicated track, creating an educational and interactive environment.
