Qatar Gears Up to Host FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025
Qatar is preparing to welcome the world for the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025, scheduled to take place from November 3 to 27, 2025. This prestigious tournament will spotlight Qatar’s exceptional sports infrastructure, offering a thrilling experience for fans and families alike. Aspire Zone: A Hub of Sporting Excellence
The Aspire Zone complex will serve as a central venue for the tournament. Since hosting the 2006 Asian Games, Aspire Zone has been a symbol of sporting excellence in Qatar and the broader region. During the U-17 World Cup, the zone will transform into a lively hub for football enthusiasts, hosting matches across eight stadiums. The schedule includes 104 matches, with approximately eight games daily during the group stage and up to the round of 16.
Khalifa International Stadium: A Legacy of Football
The final match of the tournament will be held at the iconic Khalifa International Stadium, also located within Aspire Zone. This stadium is one of the eight venues that hosted matches during the historic 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. This event marks the first FIFA World Cup to feature 48 national teams, underscoring the tournament’s global significance.

According to Mr. Rashid Al-Khater, Executive Director of Operations at the Local Organizing Committee for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025, the country is excited to host the world’s most talented young players. Furthermore, he highlighted the festive atmosphere and the opportunity for fans to enjoy multiple matches daily, thanks to the close proximity of venues within Aspire Zone. The Fan Zone will offer various cultural and entertainment activities, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
Fan Zone Activities and Accessibility
The Fan Zone will open daily on match days, starting at 1:30 PM, providing a family-friendly environment. Children can enjoy various activities and games, including e-sports competitions and a mini football pitch. The zone will also feature cultural and folkloric performances, alongside food and beverage stalls offering international cuisines. For fans with autism and sensory sensitivities, a sensory assistance room will be available, ensuring inclusivity for all.
Aspire Zone: More Than Just Sports
Aspire Zone is recognized as the world’s leading sports city, also housing Aspetar, a leading orthopedic and sports medicine hospital, which is the official medical partner for the tournament. In addition, the renowned Aspire Academy, established in 2004, has produced numerous world champions and Olympians across various sports. Notable alumni include Mutaz Barshim, a celebrated high jumper and one of the best in the history of the sport.
