Syrian Foreign Minister Welcomes Reintegration of Defected Officers
In a move signaling a focus on rebuilding and capacity enhancement, Syrian Foreign Minister Anas Khattab announced on Friday the forthcoming reintegration of defected officers into the Ministry of Interior. This initiative, stemming from a comprehensive meeting held last month, aims to harness the experience of these officers for the betterment of the ministry’s operations.
Reintegration Process and Objectives
Following the directives of Minister Khattab, a dedicated committee was formed to facilitate the reintegration process. This committee has been tasked with assessing and re-engaging officers in the Ministry of Interior, aligning their skills with the ministry’s evolving strategic objectives. The primary goal is to leverage the officers’ expertise, gained both within and outside the country, to enhance the ministry’s capabilities. This process is part of a broader effort to refine operational strategies and improve the overall quality of work within the ministry.
Committee’s Accomplishments
The committee concluded its initial phase within the last two days, having interviewed over 260 officers. These officers, currently residing within Syria, are ready to resume their duties. The committee is now preparing a proposal for the redistribution of these officers, ensuring they are placed in roles that best serve the ministry’s goals. The ministry aims to enhance its human resources by integrating experienced professionals and offering specialized training programs to both male and female staff, thereby improving the overall standard of work.
Welcoming Officers Abroad and Future Plans
Minister Khattab also extended a welcoming hand to officers who are currently outside the country and have not yet been able to return. To facilitate their reintegration, the ministry will publish a registration link through its official channels. This step is designed to streamline the process for officers wishing to rejoin the ministry. Looking ahead, the ministry plans to concentrate on augmenting its human resources and elevating the quality of work. This will be achieved through strategic plans that utilize the expertise of experienced personnel and provide training across various specializations.
