Conference in Al-Msailah to Launch South Lebanon Reconstruction
Next Tuesday, a comprehensive meeting is scheduled to take place in Al-Msailah, hosted at the residence of Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri. The primary objective of this gathering, according to sources from the Ministries of Public Works and Finance, the Council for Development and Reconstruction, the South Council, and security agencies, is to establish a program aimed at the reconstruction of South Lebanon.
A Message of Resilience
This initiative, as reported by sources, is designed to convey a specific message to Israel. The core message is that Lebanon, particularly the Amal Movement and Hezbollah, is steadfast in its commitment to rebuilding the devastated towns of the South. This resolve remains firm despite the ongoing Israeli actions, which are no longer limited to targeting the party and its members but have expanded to include economic institutions and infrastructure. This includes the destruction of numerous bulldozers and machinery, an example of which occurred in Al-Msailah, near Berri’s residence.
Reaffirming Commitment
The meeting, taking place in the heart of the South, aims to reassure the Arab and international communities of the Lebanese people’s, especially the people of the South’s, dedication to their land. Any discussions regarding establishing an American-sponsored economic zone in the border towns will not be entertained, as the residents are determined to return to their homes and rebuild.
This conference underscores the political dynamics and the unwavering spirit of the Lebanese people in the face of adversity, particularly in the context of the ongoing conflict and reconstruction efforts in South Lebanon. The involvement of key governmental and political entities highlights the importance of this initiative.
