Egypt’s Sisi: Strengthening Ties and Pursuing Peace
In a series of recent meetings, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi underscored the importance of building upon the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh summit to achieve lasting peace and stability. Focus on Gaza and Reconstruction

During his meeting with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President Sisi expressed his appreciation for Germany’s participation in the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, highlighting the deep-rooted historical ties between the two nations. The focus also extended to collaboration in education, transportation, and the energy sector, including new and renewable energy sources.
President Sisi also met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, welcoming his participation in the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum. Both leaders acknowledged the growing momentum in bilateral relations, particularly since the upgrading of relations to a strategic partnership in February 2023. They also discussed the importance of the Egyptian-European relations, especially in light of the first Egyptian-European summit held recently in Brussels. They also addressed the situation in Gaza, efforts to resolve the Sudanese crisis, and combating illegal immigration.

Both presidents reiterated that the two-state solution remains the only path toward achieving lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.
