Netflix’s ‘One Piece’ Season 2 Sets Sail in March 2026
Fans of the live-action One Piece adaptation, rejoice! Netflix has announced the premiere date for Season 2, set to arrive on March 10th, 2026. This highly anticipated return promises to continue the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates.
A Journey to the Nameless Country
Season 2 will consist of 8 new episodes, following Luffy (played by Iñaki Godoy) and his crew as they venture into the Nameless Country. This arc is a direct reference to the manga’s Drum Island arc, promising thrilling new challenges and encounters for the pirate crew.
Anime Production Changes
In related news, Toei Animation revealed production adjustments for the One Piece anime. Beginning next year, seasons will be split into two parts, each comprising 26 episodes. Series producer Ryūta Koike explained that this shift aims to “incorporate more content, tempo, and pacing of the manga while continuing to leverage the unique storytelling that is only possible with animation.”
The changes should provide more opportunities to explore the source material’s depth and maintain the unique storytelling style that animation allows.
With a premiere date set and production changes in place, excitement is building for the next chapter of One Piece on Netflix. Fans can look forward to seeing the Straw Hat Pirates – including Usopp (Jacob Romero) and Sanji (Taz Skylar) – as they navigate new challenges.
