Industrial freezer warehouse with recalled food product on pallets.
Power Plate Meals, LLC is recalling approximately 5,795 pounds of its frozen Meatloaf with Garlic Mashed Potatoes due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced recently. The product contains soy, but this ingredient was not declared on the packaging.
The recalled items are 13.3-ounce vacuum-sealed plastic tray packages of Power Plate Meals Meatloaf with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. They have use-by dates ranging from June 25, 2026, to June 10, 2027, and were produced between June 25, 2025, and June 10, 2026. These products were distributed to retailers in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
The issue was identified when a state inspector noted that the soy ingredient was missing from the product’s ingredient list. The recalled products bear the establishment number “217SEND” within the USDA mark of inspection.
FSIS has reported no confirmed instances of adverse reactions linked to the consumption of these meals. However, consumers who have purchased the affected products are advised not to consume them. They can either discard the meals or return them to the place of purchase.
This recall is classified as Class II, indicating a “remote probability of adverse health consequences from use of the product,” according to the FSIS.
