This innovative technology has captured international attention, with social media videos showcasing mist cascading from rooftops to cool urban areas below.
The systems operate on the principle of evaporative cooling. High-pressure nozzles release extremely fine water droplets that evaporate rapidly, absorbing ambient heat. This process effectively lowers local air and surface temperatures by an average of 5 to 8 degrees Celsius within minutes, providing relief during heatwaves that can reach 38 degrees Celsius.
Proponents of this technology emphasize its energy efficiency compared to traditional air conditioning. The systems primarily utilize water, pumps, and nozzles, requiring significantly less electricity.
